How much is postage? |
For your introductory offer, delivery costs just £2.99. |

Once you are a member, postage and packaging for all clubs is currently charged at £3.49 (except Books for Children which is £2.99) per order or £2.99 for online orders. If your order totals £40 or more (or £25 or more online), then it will qualify for Free Postage and Packaging. |

When will I get my introductory books? |
Your Welcome Parcel will be delivered to your door. Please allow up to 10 working days for your books to get to you. |

How can I make a payment, place an order or contact you? |
It’s quick and easy – just choose a method that suits you best. |

Online: log onto www.booksdirect.co.uk to place an order, make a payment or check the status of your account. Just follow the simple instructions. |

Home Banking: If you prefer telephone or internet banking, simply contact your bank quoting our account details and your membership number. The name of our account is BCA Telebanking; our sort code is 62-28-53; and our account number is 0000 0000 (yes, this is actually our account number!). |

By Post: Fill in the order form on your New Member Statement. If paying by cheque, please make it payable to your club, add your membership number on the reverse and send with your order form. Please send to: BCA, Hargreaves Road, Swindon, SN99 9XX. |

Is online payment safe?

We use a very secure server (SSL 128bit) to process and encrypt your payment details. This is indicated by the small 'padlock' symbol at the bottom right of your screen when you reach the payment section. Please do not send your credit card details via email as these methods are not secure. |

What if I change my mind?
|
You are under no obligation to join your club when you complete your application. The items you have chosen will be sent to you on a 10 days home trial. If you decide to keep them, please pay using one of the methods detailed above. If you are not completely satisfied, simply return the parcel to us, your membership will be cancelled and you will owe us nothing. |

How do I return my order?
|
Items can be returned via the local Post Office. Alternatively we offer a convenient Home Collection Service. To take advantage of this service simply call 0844 499 0000. The charge for this service is £3.00 per collection. In all cases, please ensure your membership details or delivery note is enclosed in the parcel and that you obtain a receipt of posting. |

Will you pass on my details to others?

From time to time at your club, we find special offers that would be of benefit to our members, including special promotions and products from other Internet businesses. However you are in control: by selecting your e-mail preferences, on the ‘My Account’ page of the site you can tailor the e-mail communications you receive so that you only get the information you requested. |

Do you store any information about my online activity? |
In Order to improve our service we may use a device known as a 'cookie'. Cookies are a means by which information relating to your Internet activity (such as whether you have visited Books Direct before) is recorded on your hard drive and used by us to improve booksdirect.co.uk and the products and services available to you. |
If you do not wish for us to use cookies when you use the booksdirect.co.uk website please adjust your Internet browser settings to not accept cookies. The Help option on the menu bar of your web browser should explain you how to do this. Other than this, we store a 'user ID', a code which allows us to personalise your website on the Home Page, and a 'Session ID' which helps us to determine if you have logged into your club website. These IDs are highly encrypted and have no direct correlation with your personal data. We do not store your password or any other information in the cookie, or use it for any other purpose. |

What is the Membership Agreement?

In return for your introductory offer, which I’m sure you will agree offers unbeatable value, we ask that you agree to buy 4 books in your first year of membership; this is your Membership Agreement. Fulfilling it is easy - we offer a great range of books to choose from. Once you have bought the agreed number of books, you will benefit from VIP Pricing, which offers even bigger savings on every book you buy! |
Once your Membership Agreement if fulfilled, you are not obliged to buy any more books…but we reserve the right to occasionally entice you with tempting offers! |

Do I have to buy any books I don't want?

No. Although we ask that you agree to buy 4 books in your first year of membership you are free to choose from all titles, across all genres and all clubs. |
