A superlative account of the Battle of Waterloo
This book gives a detailed account of the lead up to the battle and a full description of the action. It has details of movements of troops both Allied and French, details of the command structures plus names of officers and men on both sides. It details casualties to the extent that they are known and describes the results of actions on both sides. It analyses drcisions taken by the various commanders and indicates the level of success or failure in each case. It details the myths and legends that have grown up in the period since the battle and debunks most of them. I cannot praise it highly enough and consider it a 'must have' for any reader interested in the Napoleonic Wars.

Outstanding
This book is absolutely outstanding, I have read a lot of waterloo books and so far this is the best so far. Maps, order of battle, facts, and good uniform guide. I have been to the actual battle field and wished I had this book before I went.

Buy it now - The best value for money around.
This book is a real mine of information. The quality is absolutely excellent and extreemly well laid out. You are guided through the battlefield in all the stages. Maps show troop movements etc. Listed is Hougemont, La haye saint etc as they were then as as they are now. There is also information of the various monuments and plaques in the area. A true companion to the historian and the battlefield visitor. There is no better publication around for the price and amount of information given (in my opinion). Buy it now.
